Medical Isotopes: Establishing Reliable Supplies of MO-99 Produced Without HEU
On September 27, 2011the Foundation for Nuclear Studies hosted a panel discussion on medical isotopes. The speakers discussed switching production of the medical isotopes from highly enriched uranium to low-enriched uranium, how the medical isotopes are distributed and used and the challenges that arise from a shortage.
