Potential Nuclear Power Plant Closings in Illinois: Impacts and Market-Based Solutions
On February 19, 2015 the Foundation for Nuclear Studies hosted a luncheon briefing examining the outcomes from potential premature closures of Illinois’ nuclear facilities. The Foundation featured Dr. Sandy Levin, Professor Emeritus at Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville, and Doug Scott, former Chairman of the Illinois Commerce Commission, to provide remarks on the economic impacts towards the state; while Doug O’Brien, Executive Director of the Illinois Clean Energy Coalition, provided a perspective on environmental concerns.
