Progress & Developments in International Nuclear Safety & Regulation

On July 28, 2014 the Foundation for Nuclear Studies partnered with the Global America Business Institute (GABI) to host a luncheon briefing on nuclear safety and regulation. Dr. Soon-Heung Chang, Handong Global University, opened the forum by examining the principles of nuclear safety and how they are implemented at an international level. Dr. Dale Klein, Texas University, would then deliver remarks on the current safety culture within the United States’ nuclear industry.  As a former NRC Chairman, Dr. Klein emphasized the importance of proactively identifying new ways to improve risk management techniques.

As the briefing’s moderator, Mr. Paul Dickman, Argonne National Laboratory, assisted in promoting a dialogue between the audience and the forum’s panelists.
